Secure World Houston: An Unfilled Appetite & Dose of Skepticism 🍽️🤨
Post my morning tab dance; I hopped over to Secure World Houston, where I was diplomatically nudged out of the lunch line - a perk I didn't earn with my "free" badge. Well, talk about lunchtime drama!
Despite this palate disappointment, I still managed to glean pearls of wisdom. The CISO panel showcased how corporations function within airtight organizational silos with an appalling absence of information sharing.
Nevertheless, cyber "mega-events" often seem like overhyped carnivals, with vendors parading their wares, leaving me questioning their credibility and simplicity. Ultimately, the conference left me feeling rather hungry, somewhat cynical, and questioning a return.
Steering Clear of the Hype – Choosing the Road Less Traveled 🚫🎪
While my chances of gracing another Secure World are slim, the event served some intellectual nourishment from luminaries like CISA's Deron McElroy. His insights and my paradoxical experiences are now simmered into this recap video.
If this candid reveal of my tab-driven knowledge quest, sprinkled with a few comical security blunders and a dash of humor, brightened your day or triggered a thought, consider supporting The Chaddington Post for as little as $4.17/month. Here's wishing you a spectacular rest of your week! 🎉🌞
